Who are we?
BRAZADAS DE VIDA arises from the initiative of four swimmers of the Master Madrid Swimming Team. We strive hard to combine our professional life and our sporty life.
We love swimming in the sea and we have wanted through ocean swimming to go beyond sport...We want to achieve a positive impact on society.
That is why, Brazadas de Vida, we try to give visibility, raise awareness and denounce causes that we think they are current problems of society.

Our first challenge was in 2017, working with the NGO Proactiva Open Arms to help refugees in the Mediterranean. We swam together 18 km during six hours without stop. The crowfunding organized for them reached 10.000 €.
2019...TIME TO ACT AGAIN!
Being open water swimmers makes us to see more closely a problem that concerns to all of us: PLASTIC POLLUTION IN THE OCEAN.
Right now it is estimated that up to 12 million metric tons of plastic – everything from plastic bottles and bags to microbeads – ends up in our oceans each year. Plastic represents 90% of marine waste in the oceans. The World Forum has already warned that, if the situation does not improve, in 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the sea.
OUR VISION
To end plastic pollution.
OUR MISSION
Inform on the topic of plastic pollution.
Inspire people to care about the issue and desire to be part of the solution.
Incite action on real solutions that will shift the global reliance on plastic.
